A Salisbury Hospice Charity spokesperson said: “This spectacular, family-friendly event promises a 12-minute firework display, delicious food stalls, and live music from This is Queen, the perfect way to kick off your Bonfire Night celebrations.
“Gates open at 5.30pm, with the main firework display lighting up the skies from 7.30pm.
“Salisbury Fireworks is more than just a night of entertainment; it’s an opportunity to come together as a community to support those who need it most.
“By attending, you’ll be helping to raise vital funds for Salisbury Hospice Charity, which provides compassionate care for patients and their families at the end of life.”
The event is sponsored by Jones & Company and supported by the Rotary Clubs of Wilton and Salisbury. The hospice expects tickets to sell out quickly.
Big fireworks displays in the Salisbury area were cancelled in each of the last three years.
In 2022, the Racecourse fireworks were called off after 130mm (five inches) of rainfall left parts of the venue saturated and waterlogged.
The following year, the Rotary clubs “could not secure transport and ticketing facilities in time” after a late change in the location.
And the plug was pulled on a planned display at The Stones Hotel in High Post last year because of an “unexpected licensing complication”.
