Arundells welcomed its first guests of the year on Thursday, March 20.
A day later, the Arundells team was “delighted and immensely proud” to scoop the Visitor Experience Award at the Salisbury Business Excellence Awards, organised by the city’s chamber of commerce and Business Improvement District (BID).
The award, sponsored by Salisbury Reds, recognises businesses that demonstrate exceptional enthusiasm and commitment to delivering the very best experience for visitors.
The judges’ comments praised manager Ivan Smith and his team and the building’s range of charms and offerings.
Arundells in The Close They said: “Ivan and the Arundells team show authentic, thoughtful and, really, just wonderful customer service.
“They have taken this beautiful house and established it as a precious gem competing with the top attractions in Salisbury.
“It has the warmth of a living home but with literature, political interest and musical performance thrown in.
“Arundells is both charming but impressive at the same time with an array of incredible events and artwork.”

The award was received on behalf of Arundells by events and marketing manager Luke Futcher, Grace Clark, Denise Lord and Hazel Marks.
