
On Monday, April 14 at around 11 pm, a 39-year-old pedestrian fell from a bridge which runs above the A303 Mere Bypass.
Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire police said: “His family has been informed and they are being supported by officers. Our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time.”

The road has now fully reopened and the Police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
After the incident, Police are urging any witnesses to the incident, or anyone who may have dash cam footage leading up to it, to contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225694597 quoting log number 322 and the date.
