Cllr Mel Jacob, the council’s cabinet member for communities, engagement and corporate services, said: “Achieving the ukactive Active Standard across all of our leisure centres is a fantastic milestone, and it reflects the incredibly high standards of safety, professionalism and care that our teams deliver every day.
“This accreditation offers reassurance to our residents that our centres provide safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces for everyone in Wiltshire.
“I want to thank all the staff involved for their hard work and dedication in achieving this recognition – it simply wouldn’t have been possible without them.”
The accreditation is valid for three years, following a rigorous independent assessment covering risk management, staff training, safeguarding and daily operations.
Cllr Jacob said: “As we continue to invest in our leisure offer, including the construction of the new state-of-the-art Trowbridge leisure centre, we remain committed to providing high-quality facilities that support healthier, more active communities for years to come.”
