Edge of Reason – A Song for Thom honours the late Thom Belk, who died in 2023 and was known for championing local talent and young artists.

The Rose Gale Trust was established in memory of youth worker and Bass Connection co-founder Rose Gale, who dedicated her life to supporting young people.
The Rose Gale Trust supports young people aged 13 to 25 in South Wiltshire, offering grants for education, career development and skills training – especially for those facing financial hardship or unemployment.
The Thom Belk Community Fund focuses on helping young people access opportunities in education, the arts, sports and community projects, offering grants of up to £200 in Salisbury and surrounding areas.
Both trusts aim to continue the legacies of Rose and Thom by giving young people the tools and opportunities to succeed.
Ricky Rogers, director of The Rose Gale Trust, said: “We are thrilled to be part of this effort to raise funds for The Rose Gale Trust and The Thom Belk Community Fund.
“These funds will enable us to continue empowering young people in South Wiltshire and support their personal and professional development.”
Further fundraising will take place at Salisbury Live’s upcoming event, Right Here Right Now, on Saturday, August 16, at Victoria Park.

The event will feature headliner Fatboy Tim, a tribute to Fatboy Slim, along with a line-up of original and tribute acts performing across two stages.
