Wanted man arrested in Southampton, suspected of further crimes

The man had failed to appear before Salisbury Magistrates’ Court in September and December of 2022 after being charged with possession of Class A and B drugs and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

A quantity of Class A drugs found during the arrest led to a further suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

He remains in custody for questioning.

The man is also suspected of three crimes in Salisbury this month, including a break-in on Butts Terrace on Sunday, January 15, a burglary at the Nisa Local at The Crescent, also on Sunday, January 15, and is the second suspect to be arrested for a robbery on Cranebridge Road during the early morning hours of Saturday, January 28 in which two suspects made off with a handbag belonging to the victim’s partner.
