Salisbury firefighters called after man falls down river bank

SALISBURY firefighters came to the rescue of man who had fallen down a river bank.

Two crews from Salisbury Fire Station were called to Middle Woodford at 7.05pm on Saturday to help the ambulance service.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two crews from Salisbury were called to Middle Woodford at 7.05pm on Saturday evening to assist an ambulance crew with a man who had fallen down a river bank.

“Our crews carried the casualty along the river bank. Our stop came at 7.51pm when he was left in the care of the ambulance crew.”
